The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office is a full-service law enforcement agency with approximately 320 members and an annual budget of approximately $47,000,000. The Sheriff’s Office is comprised of five divisions: Road Patrol, Corrections, Communications, Civil and Records and Office of Emergency Management. Within these divisions, there are numerous units and specialties. For example, the Sheriff’s Office staffs a marine patrol, dedicated DWI patrol, sex offender registry enforcement officer, traffic safety unit, collision reconstruction unit, crime scene investigation team, K-9 program, dive team, recreational vehicle patrols and several other community based programs that enhance the agency’s ability to adequately serve the citizens of Saratoga County. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office’s Road Patrol, Corrections and Communications divisions are fully accredited by the New York State Division For Criminal Justice Services and the New York State Sheriffs’ Association.
